Corporate Travel & Meetings Internship- Summer 2022 (Hybrid)

Overview

This summer our Internship Program will be a hybrid program. A hybrid program means interns will be expected to come into their designated office location about 3 times a week. All internships will be hybrid unless explicitly stated as a remote opportunity.

(This Hybrid opportunity is located in Knoxville, Tennessee).

Discovery Travel Services ensures that every employee gets where they need to be, when they need to be there - safely. We are available around the clock, across the globe servicing our employees, on-air talent, and production crews.

Responsibilities

The Corporate Travel & Meetings Intern will gain exposure to Discovery's global travel program in 20 countries. The intern will have visibility in all areas of travel management: on-air talent/executive/production travel, travel policy compliance, training, and travel technology. In addition, the Intern will assist in the meeting & event planning process - from venue sourcing to food and beverage selection, from rooming list management to expense management, from transportation and logistics management to audio and visual planning, etc. Depending on the calendar of events, the Intern may have an opportunity to gain on-site event management experience.

Qualifications

* Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)

* Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student

* Must have at least a 3.0 GPA

* Must have the legal right to work in the United States

o Our Summer 2022 program will run from Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 to Friday, August 19, 2022.
o The?application deadline for Summer 2022 is Friday, March, 4th. After this date, we cannot guarantee your application will be reviewed for the position.
o Our internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired.
o We do not require a cover letter- please do not submit one. Instead, demonstrate your passion for the position through your resume and interviews.
